about the photographer
Katie Larson has a passion for photography, art, architecture and people. She combines these passions to create one-of-a-kind pieces of personal art. Her prints have been displayed in local venues in Minneapolis.
Katie received her BFA from the University of Kansas. Her background as a graphic designer shows though in the graphic quality of her images. She spent the first decade of her career practicing graphic design in her native city of St. Louis. After relocating to Minneapolis in 1998, Katie worked for one of the top interactive marketing agencies in the country. She applies her knowledge of these areas in every aspect of her work including her creative style, compositions and appreciation for unique spaces. She understands that close collaboration with her clients as partners is a key to achieving a superior product.
Katie started with film, but has transitioned to digital. Her images have the look and feel of film, but with the convenience and unique problem solving capabilities of modern digital technology.
In her portrait work, Katie’s goal is to create images that will bless your lives to come and be remembered as one of the best investments you have ever made. Her images convey the true spirit of each subject in a relaxed pose in the studio, home or within a beautiful setting with natural light.
Katie's true passion is making artful images that express the perception of the built environment. She is currently accepting interior and architectural assignments.

creating your portrait
Your Session:
Your session will likely last one hour. Unless otherwise discussed, I will shoot anywhere from 50-200 images during that time. If additional locations or multiple groups are planned, a special sitting fee will be agreed upon prior to session.
Your Proofs:
Within two weeks of your session, I will provide contact sheets from which you can make your selections. CDs containing low resolution images are also available for an additional fee. I am also happy to assist you with making your selections.
Prints:
Each black & white or color image selected is digitally enhanced and printed on archival paper. Matting and framing is also available for an additional cost. Pricing is dependent upon size and materials. Prints are mounted, matted and framed behind glass.
Payment:
The sitting fee is due on the day of your sitting. For orders over $500, a deposit of 50% is due upon placement of your print order. The remainder is due upon delivery of your order.
